I've always had a needle and some kind of fiber moving through my hands. My focus has been on quilting for the last thirty years, with crazy quilts my heart's love for the last five. The bags began with the crazy quilting; I have made well over 100 of them so far and continue to have great fun with them. My goal is to create superbly finished and functional one-of-a-kind bags that reflect my passion for my materials. My hope is for
them to give years of service and pleasure to their owners.
I was born and raised in East Grand Rapids, Michigan, attending first Occidental College and then completing a bachelor's degree in design from Cornell University. My quilts have appeared in several publications and hung in numerous national shows through the years, as well as in the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles in San Jose, California and the Mariposa Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Many lovely and world class teachers from the quilting and embellishing worlds have inspired and enabled my growth along the way, and I thank them all.
I live in Washougal, Washington with my husband, Robert. We have two sons.
